Challenging Times Will Wake You Up

Good Morning my friends,

Walk peacefully through this day with Jesus. Don’t worry about how you will deal with all you have to do on this day. You must treat this day like any other; one step at a time. Instead of rehearsing over and over in your mind how you will do this or that, keep your mind on Jesus Presence and taking the next step. The more demanding your day becomes the more help you can expect from Him. This is a training opportunity, since He designed you for deep dependence on your Shepherd King. Challenging times wake you up and amplify your awareness of needing His help.

When you don’t know what to do, wait while He opens the way before you. Trust that Jesus knows what He’s doing, and be ready to follow His lead. He will give strength to you and bless you with Peace.

“The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.” (Psalm 29:11)

I use to rehearse EVERYDAY.. Plan…plan… plan.. I always told myself needed to do this and have it done by this time so I can do that… Then I can do this and be done by this time so I can drive here to do this… Very seldom did it ever workout according to my plans. I would always get hung up on something, caught on the phone or some minor catastrophe would present itself..etc… Life never goes according to plans. No matter how hard or how detailed we plan it. There’s almost always a character building situation that we must face. Keri and I had been married for several years.. We had accumulated some debt and had been paying it off. We had starting climbing our last mountain and had actually started breathing a little and then of course we were hit with several minor things in a row. The minor things were easy to handle but then we were hit with a huge blow.. Keri got laid off… Having our income cut in half was a substantial blow but it was something we cold work thru because she had skills that were marketable. She immediately started looking for a job and went on interview after interview but nothing ever panned out. She was offered a couple of jobs but the pay was substantially lower than what she was making before.. We had 1 baby and 1 toddler if she took a job making $400 a week, $100-150 would go to childcare, another $65-80 to fuel, $30-50 for lunch… She would be working for darn near NOTHING… Why would I put my kids in childcare just so my wife could contribute $50 per week to our bank account….

The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” (Exodus 33:14)

I hope you have a WONDERFUL day…. Blessings & much love……D

ALWAYS…..Live YOUR life like it’s your LAST 24!!!
