Good Morning my friends,
Temptation is nothing to play around with. In fact it’s a losing battle. The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 5:8, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” He’s waiting in the bushes when you’re home alone, he’s sitting in the chair next to you when you’re having a guy’s/girl’s night out. He’s waiting to leap in your life and turn it upside down.
Many church goers talk about the irrelevancy of the Old Testament but Jesus rebuked Satan three times by saying, “it is written.” All three quotations were from the book of Deuteronomy. If you spiritual life depended on your knowledge of Deuteronomy, how would you make out? Many church goers only open their Bible’s on Sunday. The remaining six days it just sits gathering dust where it was left after walking in the door from church. Truth be known, “the Bible will either keep you from sin or sin will keep you from the Bible.” You are either in the Word and the Word is conforming you to the image of Christ, or you’re in the world and the world is squeezing you into its mold.
Do you remember as a kid the height growth charts that you marked on the wall?
How is your Christian growth chart?
Does it look like a height growth chart that you started at 25?
Spiritual growth takes commitment and time. It must be a PRIORITY.. You have to want to grow and know how to grow? Spiritual growth will prepare you to defeat Satan. To defeat Satan you must arm yourself with the FULL Armor of God!!

“Let your soul delight itself in abundance.” (Isaiah 55:2)
When Satan tried to trap Jesus at the beginning of His ministry, he used the same temptations that he uses on us everyday.
One trap is the lure of material things. Jesus had fasted for forty days, and Satan tried to take advantage of His hunger by urging Him to use His supernatural power to turn stones into bread. But Jesus replied, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)
Bread is important, but it isn’t all-important, as Satan was suggesting. Pleasure and recreation have their place, but they must not have first place. Money is necessary, but must serve us; we are not to serve it.
Isaiah said, “Listen carefully to Me…and let your soul delight itself in abundance.” (Isaiah 55:2) Yes, delight in abundance–the abundance God gives you, both material and spiritual. Especially delight in the abundance of joy that comes from His presence. Satan will always offer you substitutes. Refuse them!
MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU… Make a commitment to your own spiritual growth…
I hope that you all have a MAGNIFICENT day.. Blessings & much love….D
ALWAYS…..Live YOUR life like it’s your LAST 24!!!
