Good Morning my friends,
Today is September 11th, 2015. Today is day that will indeed be etched in my mind forever. The tragedy that took place on this day only 14 short years ago was just a glimpse of the evil that lurks amongst us in this world …. On this day fourteen years ago I can remember where I was and whom I was talking to on the phone when the first crash happened. I remember being riveted to television as the evil plot of these Islamic terrorist unfolded right before my eyes.
The days & weeks following this tragedy we witnessed the attendance in churches go to record numbers be they were over flowing with visitors and people seeking God. We witnessed a nation that was once divided come together and seek the peace & grace that only God can provide.
Now we fast forward fourteen years which brings us to today. As we wake up this morning and we look at our nation today, we see that our nation has never been further from God. Our nation whom was at once engaged and ready to battle the evil forces of flesh in this world has fallen into a deep slumber. As our nation slept, we allowed evil to take the reigns.. In fact we have allowed them to dictate and legislate laws of their own morality, and laws that not only infringe on our rights but also trample the supreme law of the land the Constitution .. While our nation was asleep we allowed the seed of the serpent to take the top position in our nation and since the we have sit calmly and watched our “leader” make decision after decision that is destroying our nation from within. Three year ago on this very day he turned his back on our U, S. Embassy in Benghazi which was being attacked by terrorist. Those terrorist brutally attacked and murdered four men serving & defending our country. He then went on national television and lied to our nation about the reason we were attacked was a YouTube video. Since that day he and his cabinet have continued to try to cover up the real reason that were supplying guns to Syria. There has been cover-up after cover-up. Laws have been broken, treason has been committed but yet not justice has been served. Here recently our beloved leader has remained silent about the outrageous execution of more than 15 officers, but you let a law breaking thug get shot by a policeman you can bet he will do everything in his power to defend him and will address the nation and attend the funerals. Our citizens get enrage over the shooting of a lion but yet Planned Parenthood can murder hundreds of babies everyday and sell baby parts for capital gain and our citizens remain quiet and defend the organization. Our nation has lost its way. Our leader has once again bowed down to our enemy Iran and negotiated nuclear deal that gives them Carte Blanche with everything they wanted.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;” (Psalms 46:1-2)
I can’t believe people have forgotten the horror of what took place on September 11, 2001. I thought it would remain stamped in the memories for generations to come. How can they forget the sight of those hijacked airplanes slamming into the towers of the World Trade Center and the side of the Pentagon? How can you forget John Beamer and the other courageous men and women who stopped another plane from reaching its destination and crashed the plane in a field. How can they forget about the brave emergency responders the selflessly rushed up the stairs attempting to save those on the higher floors but instead lost their lives in the line of duty? How can people forget the people that jumped to their death because they didn’t want to be burned death? How can people forget the sight of those towers collapsing to the ground? I have asked myself many times why God would allow evil to flourish–and I don’t have the answer. But evil is real, and we ignore it at our peril. Evil is so real that it cost God’s Son His Life. I do know that even in life’s darkest hours, “God is our refuge and strength.” Not money, not military might, not diplomacy, not human cleverness–but God. If you reflect on what happened on that September 11th, 2001 and 2011; God can be your refuge and strength if you will open your heart to Jesus Christ.
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU… Open your heart to Jesus and Lift up those that were inflicted on this day.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC day… Blessings and much love….D
