Stay in the Spirit

Good Morning my friends,

As Christians we get complacent in our walk with Christ. Especially after we’ve been in our walk for a long length of time After being on fire for a period of time, we start tolerating worldly things, we then start missing church, and then we allow more and more sin to creep back into our daily life.  When we allow these things to happen, it gives Satan, his opportunity to exploit. 1Peter 5:8 says, “be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” We should NEVER let our guard down. We do this by staying connected & active in church, by reading God’s Word and surrounding ourselves with like minded people for accountability. When we begin to allow sin to creep back into our lives, we start to overlook those sins that we deem as small or insignificant.. Satan only needs a small opening or crack. Once he sees the crack he will do everything in his power to separate you from Christ.. He will prey over every aspect in your life until he finds where you are vulnerable and then he will wage a full scale assault on that spot until he succeeds. His goal is sink your ship. You make it a lot easier by being complacent. You skip reading your daily passage because you’re tired. You skip your weekly Bible study because you’re too busy.. You skip Sunday School because you dislike someone in your class or perhaps someone irritates you. You skip church because you don’t like the music. Those are nothing more than excuses.. When your excuses take priority over your walk your ship is already sinking.. You walk with Christ must take priority over everything else in your life.  If you are constantly rearranging your schedule to fit your walk into your life than perhaps it’s time you drop then things that are hindering your walk and use that time to focus on your walk.. God wants to be a priority in your life so make Him one…

“And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.(1 John 3:24)

A boat doesn’t sink because it’s just sitting in the water; it sinks because the water has some sort of way to get inside. In the same way, Christians don’t fail to live as they should because they’re in the world; they fail because the world gets into them. We don’t fail to produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit because we live in a sea of corruption; we fail because the sea of corruption gets into us. It can happen almost without us realizing it. At one time we were dedicated to Christ, surrendered to the will of God. But little by little, the chilling waters of the world crept in. We became preoccupied with the things of the world rather than the things of Christ. Most oceangoing ships have pumps running constantly, sucking out any water that might have leaked into the hull. Similarly, we need to keep the pumps of repentance running. We need to plug the holes with the truth of God’s Word. Don’t let the world sink your ship.

“And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”‭(‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4:18‬)

My CHALLENGE prayer for you…. Make it a priority to maintain maintenance on your hull.

I hope you all have a MARVELOUS day… Blessings and much love….D

ALWAYS…..Live YOUR life like it’s your LAST 24!!
