Living a Godly Life

Good Morning my friends,

You might have asked yourself, what it takes to live a godly life in an ungodly world? Sin and evil are running amuck all around us. As we thru each day we must remember that our anchor is Jesus Christ; He is our only salvation from sin—the anchor of our souls that holds firm, especially when the storms of life threaten us and when the enemy’s temptations blow hard against us.

“Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;” (Hebrews 6:19)

We will NEVER be able to totally escape the troubles of this world? But when we set the compass of our heart on Christ, we will not be overwhelmed when the aggressive winds and tumbling waves of temptation come at us. Jesus knew that we would face serious temptations and trials. The night of His arrest, Jesu prayed for us: “[Father], my prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.”  (John 17:15-16).

Living a godly life in an ungodly world is realizing that you do not belong to yourself. Our heavenly Father provides us with all we need, through the Holy Spirit to live free of Satan’s temptations, tactics, lies, and snares. As a believer, we are to no longer belong to the world but to Jesus Christ. He is the Shepherd of our soul, our loving Savior, and eternal Lord.

-Have a heart focused & set on Christ.

-Refuse to get caught up in busywork believing that you are pleasing to God.

-Realize that God loves you with unconditional love.

     -Invest in your spiritual future.

There’s no doubt that we’re involved in a spiritual battle daily. Unseen forces wage war against us, but the ultimate victory is won in Christ. Only faith in Jesus Christ can win this battle. Faith is not embraced one day and forgotten the next. Instead, it is built and maintained daily through love and devotion to God’s Son.

Friends if you find that it’s a struggle to live a godly life in this world, stop and seek God. Call on Him to help you. He will free you from the shackles of sin and provide you a path to walk down but you must be willing to walk. Trust me when I tell you that it wont be “popular” amongst your worldly friends. In fact in all likelihood you will be talked about, ridiculed and even unfriended BUT you will find that God will provide you with EVERYTHING you need and then some..

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.” (Titus 2:12)

God’s command to live a righteous and godly life should sober us, for the Bible tells us that our lives are Heaven’s primary concern.

Paul said, “I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of the chosen angels that you guard and keep (these rules).” (1 Timothy 5:21)

Even the angels of Heaven are constantly watching how we as Christians live our lives! Is it curiosity on their part, or just wondering if we will fail or prove faithful? The angels know the hour is urgent and that what we do is important. Eternal issues are at stake, and we’re in the midst of a huge struggle. Don’t believe that it doesn’t matter how you live; because it does! It matters to God, it matters to His holy angels, and it matters to those around you.

Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU……. Learn to live godly in an ungodly world.

I hope you all have a TERRIFIC day… Blessings and much love….D

ALWAYS…..Live YOUR life like it’s your LAST 24!!
