A Call for Discipleship

Good Morning my friends,
I refuse to be a person that just goes through the motions.  I refuse to be someone that settles for just getting by or that just shows up.  I want more out of life than to be average.  I don’t want fame.  I don’t want fortune…   I don’t want a pat on the back..   I want more.   I want to make an impact on lives.  I want to make a difference in this world.  I want to leave my mark on society.  I want to be a blessing.  I want to change lives.  I want to help others to be better..   I want to inspire people to change their lives.
I love my pastor Clark Bosher.   I love that he often reminds the congregation that, “we will not be a church that just goes through the motions.”  So many churches these days just go through the motions.  They’re happy with their little square that they have etched out.  They’re happy within their four walls.   The problem with complacency see is that there’s more beyond those four walls and that little square they’ve etched out.  There’s a town, a city, a county, a state, a country, a continent, a whole world of lost souls that need to hear the Gospel.  In Matthew 28, Jesus gave His disciples the Great Commission..  Which was to GO and spread His teachings to the ends of the world.   How are we to fulfill the Great Commission if churches and its congregation aren’t looking and preparing themselves go beyond those four walls?  If churches continue to remain complacent, not teach discipleship and never go beyond their four walls they are failing..
All whom accept Christ as their Savior is a disciple.  As a disciple, it’s your commanded duty to go and fulfill the Great Commission.  You don’t have to be a preacher.   You just need to share your testimony.  Be a witness to others for how Jesus changed your life.  In today’s world, we have the potential to reach the masses all around the world just from our finger tips.  You just have to be willing (to share, to like, to comment, to follow, to reblog) to perhaps get a little uncomfortable and do a little more..  Strive to be a beacon through whom others are drawn to Jesus.

“You, Lord, are my lamp; the Lord turns my darkness into light.” (2 Samuel 22:29)

Worship God only.  Idolatry has always been the downfall of God’s people.  He make no secrets about being a jealous God.  Current idols are more subtle than ancient ones because today’s fake gods are often outside the field of religion.   People, possessions, status, and self-aggrandizement are some of the most popular deities today.  Beware of bowing down before these things.  False gods never satisfy; instead, they stir up lust for more and more.  When you seek Him instead of the world’s idols, you experience His Joy and Peace.  These intangibles wake the thirst of your soul, providing deep satisfaction.  The flashy glitter of the world is tiny and temporal.  The Light of God’s Presence is brilliant and everlasting.  Walk in the Light with Him some you can become a beacon through whom others are drawn to Him.

“You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me.” (Exodus 20:4-5)

I hope you all have a GREAT day…      Blessing & much love…D
Live YOUR life like it’s your LAST 24!!

  1. Reblogged this on Ai Kant Spal Kwit and commented:
Just getting believers to become disciples is something 47,000+ church denominations mostly failed in over two thousand years.

If we made real disciples, more souls would be saved.
