Despite all that’s wrong in this country, I see God’s work every single day. Whether it’s a sun rise or sun set. A thunder storm or a beautiful sunny day. A courageous act of kindness or a humble act of obedience, we’re surrounded by God.
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13)
I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since Zakk & I went down to Texas A & M for his orientation. I will never forget sitting there watching and listening to the many conversations between parents and their child and between students. Hundreds of students seemed to be experiencing and feeling the same thing. That thing was “oh crap, this isn’t high school anymore…” It appeared that every single one had that same deer in the headlights look as well as a scared crackling voice. I remember thinking about that dreadful day when we were going to move Zakk into his dorm and then have to start the car and drive away and leave him there alone. God told me to stop focusing on those days & those moments that were two months away and instead look at the amazing young man that Zakk had become.. He then nudged me and said, “Don’t worry I got this, you just focus on today..” I will never forget at that same moment Zakk turned and looked at me and gave me a confident smile.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.” (Psalm 19:1-2)
God speaks to you continually. His nature is to communicate, though not always in words. He flings glorious sunsets across the sky, day after day after day. He speaks in the faces and voices of loved ones.. He caresses you with a gentle breeze that refreshes and delights you. He speaks softly in the depths of your spirit. When you have eyes that see and ears that hear you will find Him in each moment of your life. Ask His Spirit to sharpen your spiritual eyesight and hearing. Each time you discover His Presence, He rejoices. Practice looking and listening for Him during your quiet intervals. You will gradually find Him in more and more of your moments. You will seek Him and find Him, when you seek Him above all else.
“Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens. Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?” (Psalm 8:1-4)
MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU… Seek Him with all your heart and allow Him to reveal knowledge unto you.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL day… Blessing & much love…
