Uncluttered Your Mind

Good Morning my friends,



“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord ’s purpose that prevails.” (Proverbs 9:21)

Do you have the tendency to focus solely on the task that is ahead of you?  Do you allow your task to draw you away from other important things?   I must admit that there are times in my life that I have become so laser focused on task that I shut out the rest of the world.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m able to focus my attention on multiple things but they tend to be compartmentalized based on their importance in my mind.   Over the last few years, I have learned that it’s better to focus solely on God and my relationship with Him and let everything else fall into place.  Is that difficult?  Of course it is, because we live in a results oriented society.  We want everything to happen or get done yesterday. 


“Shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.” (Luke 1:79)

Seek Jesus as a Friend and Lover of your soul, but remember that He’s also the King of kings and sovereign over all.  You can make plans as you gaze into the day that is before you, but you those plans need to be held tentatively.  You should always anticipate that He might have other ideas for you..   The most important thing for you to determine is what to do right now. So instead of scanning the horizon of your life or day looking for things that need to get done, concentrate on the task before you.   Stay focused on the One that never leaves your side and then let everything else fade into the background.   This will unclutter your mind which in turn will allow Him to occupy more and more of your mind.   Trust Jesus to show you what to do and when you have finished, trust Him to guide you to what you’re going to do next.  Jesus will guide you step by step, as you bend your will to Him.  Thus you stay close to Him on the path of Peace.  JESUS IS LORD!


“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”   (‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬)
