Allowing God to Vacuum Your Troubles

Good Morning my friends,
Why is it that life can seem to be going so perfect but in the blink of an eye it changes?   Look around the world is a mess, full of imperfections and it will find its way into your life.  How you react to it is what makes a difference..  Do you allow it to stay and take residence?    Many times when trouble walks in the front door, we open the back door and let it walk on through to the backyard.   The problem with allowing this to happen,  is that when you allow it to walk through your house out the back door, you allow it not only to leave its foot print throughout your home but you have allowed it to take up residence in your backyard.  That means that every time you look out the window you can see it and it can come back in anytime.   It can peak through the windows and rear it’s ugly head.    I personally would like to be able to vacuum it up and throw it in the trash but that’s easier said then done.   Mistakes & problems from your past don’t allow that.   It’s during these times you should turn to God and allow Him to walk your way out of the mess.   Allow Him to teach you the lesson that He wants you to learn and then rejoice in your new knowledge.

“For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” (Isaiah 41:13)

God is involved in each moment in your life.   He has carefully mapped out every inch of your journey through this day, even though much of it may feel haphazard.  Because the world is in a fallen condition, things always seem to be unraveling around the edges.  Expect to find trouble in each day. At the same time, trust that His way is perfect, even in the midst of such messy imperfection.   Stay conscious of Him as you go through today, remembering that He will never leave your side.  Let the Holy Spirit guide you step by step, plotting you from unnecessary trials and equipping you to get through whatever must be endured.   As you trudge through the sludge of this fallen world, keep your mind in heavenly places with Him.  Thus the Light of My Presence shines on you, giving you Peace and Joy that circumstances cannot touch.
“As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord ’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.”(Psalm 18:30)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU…    When trouble comes don’t allow it to reside..  Vacuum it up with God’s love and lessons…
I hope you all have a SUPER day…   Blessings & much love….D
ALWAYS…..
Live YOUR life like it’s your LAST 24!!

God’s Rest and Renewal

Good Morning my friends,

When things get busy & difficult in life our tendency is to ask for others to pray for us or for us to go directly in prayer.  We’ve seen it in major tragedies like the OKC bombing, Sept. 11th, the West Explosion, the recent floods here in Texas…   We see it in our own lives as well.  How many times in a day, do you see on FB your friends asking for prayer.  I know there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t see it.   That is not by coincidence, that’s by God’s design.  There’s something about going into His Presence and seeking comfort & shelter in not only your time of heed but our nations time of need as well.  Sometimes I wonder why God would want to come and comfort a mourning wicked evil nation but I’m constantly reminded that He would want to because there are still people that believe and call upon the Name of The Lord.  Those people know that only He can deliver us the comfort and shelter that is needed during our time of need.

“Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, Lord.”  (Psalm 89:15)

Take your mind to Him for rest and renewal.  Let Jesus infuse His Presence into your thoughts.  As your mind stops racing, your body will relax and you will regain awareness of Him.  This awareness is vital to your spiritual well being and it’s your lifeline spiritually speaking.  There are actually more than four dimensions in this world where you live.  In addition to the three dimensions of space and the one of time, there is the dimension of openness to God’s Presence.  This dimension transcends the others.  It gives you glimpses of Heaven while you still reside here on earth.  This is part of His original design for mankind.  Adam and Eve used to talk to Him in the garden, before their expulsion from Eden.  He wants you to talk and walk with Him in the garden of your heart, where He has taken up permanent residence.

“Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.” (Genesis 3:8)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU…    When life is rough and you need to rest & relax call upon Him earnestly and He will bring you comfort & shelter…
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC day…   Blessings & much love….D
ALWAYS…..
Live YOUR life like it’s your LAST 24!!

Searching for the Treasures of God

Good Morning my friends
It is my desire to find God in each new day.  I’ve learned to look earnestly for the small blessings that God throws in my life.  God is an amazing artist whom gives each and everyone of us a new blank canvass everyday.   He delivers us majestic sunrises in the morning and then turns around gives us the same with sunsets in the evening.  My life has been blessed with His Presence far beyond what I could ever deserve, but I’ve learned to not feel guilty for it.  Keri & I have always tried to live a simple life, which I feel allows us to notice and appreciate the small things in life.  We chose careers/jobs that allowed us to remain involved in our boys lives instead of being absentee parents.  We chose to live in a modest home instead of living in something much bigger & more lavish.   It’s the small things that are revealed in life that will leave the BIGGEST impression…

“He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.” (Isaiah 33:6)

Approach each new day with desire to find Him.  Before you get out of bed, He has already been working to prepare the path that will get you through this day.  There are hidden treasures strategically placed along the way.   Some of the treasures are trials, designed to shake you free from earth’s shackles.  Others are blessings that reveal God’s Presence:  sunshine, flowers, birds, friendships, answered prayer.   He will never abandon you in this sin-wracked world.  He is still richly present in it.  Search for the deep treasures as you go through this day. You will find Him all along the way.

“My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” (Colossians 2:2-3)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU…  Search for the mystery God is the small things that he throws on your canvass..
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL day…   Blessings & much love….D

Protecting Your Sacred Place

Good Morning my friends,

“Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.”(Hebrews 13:15)

Life can get so busy, so busy that before you know it can capture your attention and before your know it you will be in a rut and then the next time you look up it will be 3 or 4 weeks and turned into a routine of nothingness. I listen to probably 5 or 6 different pastors on podcast during the week. I have found that for me it’s easier to stay in the right frame of mind doing so. My life has gotten busy with physical therapy and follow-up doctor visits and I haven’t taken the time to listen to any of the podcast. Needless to say it’s turned into 3 or 4 weeks. I got busy. I allowed my busy life to interfere with my Sacred Place. It came in and sat right down and took over like it always does. Satan is like that. That’s how he wins with believers. He gets you busy with life and turns your focus from Him to him.

“Cause me to understand the way of your precepts, that I may meditate on your wonderful deeds.”(Psalm 119:27)

TIme with Jesus cannot be rushed. When you are in a hurry, your mind flutters back and forth between Him and the tasks ahead of you. Push back the demands pressing in on you and create a safe space around you, A haven in which you can rest with Him. He also desires this time of focused attention and He will use it to bless you, strengthening and equipping you for the day ahead. Thus, spending time with Him is a wise investment. Take Him the sacrifice of your precious time. This creates a sacred space around you your space will permeate with His Presence and His Peace.

“For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war.” (2 Chronicles 16:9)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU…  Don’t allow the busyness of life in your Sacred place.

I hope you all have a TREMENDOUS day… Blessings & much love….D

ALWAYS…..

Live YOUR life like it’s your LAST 24!!

Fixing Your Eyes on Him

Good Morning my friends,
Over the last 9 months lets just say that I’ve had a lot of extra time on my hands.  I’ve been able to think about the last 4 years and all that has gone on in my life.   I can say without a shadow of doubt that I know God has been at work.  I have often prayed for God to mold me into man that He wants me to be.  A man that once takes his last breath and is called home to be with the Lord is welcomed Home with a HUGE smile and open arms and then He says “well done my good & faithful servant.”   I am a work in progress..  A moistened piece of clay sitting on the Potter’s wheel spinning slowly as the Potter works on His masterpiece and my transformation.   There have been times when I have attempted to speed the wheel up or even add extra water because I want to be finished.  During those times I’ve had to remind myself that I’m not the Potter.  I’m just His clay and it’s going to take time for the Potter to workout all the junk before He can create His beautiful masterpiece..  I try not to look back on the junk I’ve done but there are days that it clutters my mind.  I allow it to draw my attention away from the Potter, the wheel & His hands.  The guilt in my mind, the pain I have cause, the regret and the shame of my past….  It’s all the junk that has to be worked out..  I’ve been forgiven & washed clean from the sins of my past and I have been forgiven by my family but those things still come to the surface on a regular basis..  I do my best to refocus my thoughts on Him with a quick prayer or a song..

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.” (1 Peter 5:6)

When things don’t go as you would like accept the situation immediately.   If you indulge in feelings of regret, they can easily spill over the line into resentment.   Remember that He is sovereign over your circumstances, so humble yourself under His mighty hand.   Rejoice in what He is doing in your life, even though it’s beyond your understanding.  Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.   In Him you have everything you need, both in this life and in the life yet to come.  Don’t let the impact of the world shatter your thinking or draw you away from focusing on Him.  The ultimate challenge is to keep fixing your eyes on Him, no matter what’s going on around you.  When He is central in your thinking, you’re able to view your circumstances from His perspective.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU…  Humble yourselves….so that He my lift you up..
I hope you all have a MAGNIFICENT day…   Blessings & much love….D

One of my ALL TIME favorite songs
The Potter’s Hand
Beautiful Lord, wonderful Savior
I know for sure all of my days are held in Your hand
And crafted into Your perfect plan
You gently called me into Your presence
Guiding me by Your Holy Spirit
Teach me dear Lord, to live all of my life
Through Your eyes
And I’m captured by Your Holy calling
Set me apart, I know You’re drawing me to Yourself
Lead me Lord, I pray
Take me and mold me, use me, fill me
I give my life to the Potter’s hand
Call me, You guide me, lead me, walk beside me
I give my life to the Potter’s hand
You gently call me into Your presence
Guiding me by Your Holy Spirit
Teach me dear Lord, to live all of my life
Through Your eyes
I’m captured by Your Holy calling
Set me apart, I know You’re drawing me to Yourself
Lead me Lord, I pray
Take me and mold me, use me, fill me
I give my life to my Potter’s hand
Call me, guide me, lead me, walk beside me
I give my life to the Potter’s hand
Take me and mold me, use me, fill me
I give my life to the Potter’s hand
Call me, guide me, lead me, walk beside me
I give my life to the Potter’s hand

His Love Endures FOREVER

Good Morning my friends,
When things happen like tornados hitting small towns, there are always questions and a ton of doubt in many minds whether or not God exists..  I must honestly admit there was a time in my life when I questioned and doubted His existence as well.  I’ve since learned that God is in control and He allows those things to happen here on Earth because our reward is not here on Earth but in Heaven.   The Bible says in Matthew 6:19-21, Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:  But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:  For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”  Here on Earth we are overtaken and surrounded by sin.  As believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, despite all the sin and the horrible things that take place here on Earth we know God is still and will ALWAYS be in control.  He is the one that can “calm the seas” with His breath.
Man had the opportunity to live a life of perfection but instead chose to sin which gained them knowledge & wisdom instead of perfection.  We must all remember that the same God that allowed the heinous acts like the Holocaust & September 11th and the numerous lives that have been lost by things like tornados & hurricanes.   It is the same God that has allowed millions of people to choose abortions every year.   We must remember in all tragedies that God is, “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”  God gave us the opportunity for perfection and we chose to sin.  He then gave us Perfection and we chose sin.  He then allowed His one and only Son to die on the cross for your sins.  Yes, the same God that allows bad things to happen because of our sinful nature gave His son for you.    My heart mourns when we have tragic events occur just like the rest of you, but I remind myself that we live in a fallen world that is lost.  One that continually denies Him and that continually makes bad choices but I will continue to give thanks to the Lord for He is Good, His Love endures FOREVER.

“But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.” (Micah 7:7)

God is the Creator of the Universe and is with you and for you.  What more could you ask for need or want?  When you feel that something is lacking, it is because you’re not connecting with Him on a deep level.  He offers abundant Life and your part is to ALWAYS trust Him and refuse to worry about things.  It’s not so much of the adverse events that make you anxious as it is your thoughts about those events.  Your mind engages in efforts to take control of the situation so you can bring about the results that you desire.   Your thoughts close in on the problem like ravenous wolves.  You’re determined to make things go your way and then you forget that God is in charge of not just your life but ALL life.   The only remedy is to switch your focus from the problems of the world to His Presence.   Stop all your striving and watch and see what He can and will do.  HE IS THE LORD!!!

“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”  (Romans 8:31-32)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU…   Don’t get lost on the fixation on the world’s problems but focus your attention on Him and He will bring you comfort..
I hope you all have a GREAT day…   Blessings & much love….D
ALWAYS…..
Live YOUR life like it’s your LAST 24!!
