Bread of Life

Good Morning my friends,
In Exodus 37, we find the first room of the Tabernacle proper— the Holy Place.  Once within, you will notice an immediate change because everything is covered with gold!   Gold speaks of God’s Deity.  The first article of furniture we see is the table.  On the table we see freshly baked showbread.  The bread is there so the priests can take the bread and eat it.  This table is rich in meaning for us.  The table is a picture of the satisfaction that we find in The Lord Jesus.  We find ENJOYMENT, ENRICHMENT, FELLOWSHIP and ENLIGHTENMENT.  The bread on the table teaches us that our nourishment comes from Christ whom is the Bread of Life.  It’s wonderful to know that the deepest hungers in our life can be satisfied by Christ.  The bread provides nourishment.  But, it must be eaten.  The table is ready, “Come and dine!”

Jesus said, “I am that bread of life.”  (John 6:48)

So many times we look to the world for it to fulfill us for our needs.   Today we live in a world that is without a doubt the greatest time in human history.  Everything we could every want is at out finger tips and within our very grasp.  We have restaurants, convenience stores, small & large grocery stores, bulk wholesale, fast food, coffee shops, specialty shops etc…etc… and that’s just naming a few…  We can go online and ship whatever we want directly to our house without walking out our door.   We tend to search for the next best “thing” or object to fill our human desires.  We seem to think that if we get that new tv, that new car, that new cell phone, or the next new thing that comes out that we will want no more.  But truth be known that couldn’t be further from the truth.  As long as week seek the “things” of the world or try to fill our worldly desire we will NEVER be filled.
In the GREATEST sermon ever preached, The Sermon on the Mount.  Jesus Christ the  GREATEST preacher ever said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”   Jesus said in John 4:14, “whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”   My friends we have everything we will ever need at the tip of our fingers and it’s Jesus Christ.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.”  (John 14:6)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER to you….   Go to the table and dine so that you can discover the satisfactions that the Lord Jesus can provide you..
I hope you all have a TREMENDOUS day…   Blessings & much love….D
Live YOUR life like it’s your LAST 24!!
