A Sanctuary for God

Good Morning my friends,
We find in the book of Exodus the first account of the construction of the Tabernacle in the wilderness.  This Tabernacle was to be designed according to God’s specific design.  God said, He would dwell among His people, Israel.  This was a literal building that actually existed.  Elaborate details, designs and dimensions are given for it.  It was also a SPIRITUAL building.  God referred to it as “Sanctuary” which means a sacred place, a place set apart.  When finished, God’s Glory filled the place and that’s where God would dwell among His people.   It was also a TYPICAL building which was “according to a pattern,” said God.  The Tabernacle pictures Christ, who came to dwell among us, and the Christian and now God indwells us!

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭14‬)

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;” (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭19‬)

Yesterday, I had a business meeting over lunch with two buddies from high school and some business four new business partners..   My buddies & I have talked about our lives over the last 25 years and we’ve all had similar stories.  We were delivered from places & situations in our lives by God when it was only God that could intervene and deliver us from our abyss.  After being delivered and knowing how we should walk we once again started walking down that broad path of destruction and had to once again be delivered by God’s grace.
Now that we are in our 40’s, we find ourselves in a place that we wouldn’t trade for anything in the word.  We have beautiful wives that inspire us to be better men.  We have wonderful kids that we adore and want nothing but the best and we are willing to make sacrifices to help them be successful.  MOST IMPORTANTLY…..we serve a Lord & Savior that we want to honor & glorify everyday of our lives by living as an example to the dark fallen world.  But most importantly we know that we can’t do it without Him.   Every morning we prayerfully ask God to guide us through our day, to protect us from evil, to place the right thoughts in our mind and give us the correct words to speak.  We strive for our lives to be a Holy sanctuary where our Lord feels at home.

“Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them.”  (Exodus 25:8)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU…    Make your life a Holy sanctuary where the Lord feels at home.
I hope you all have a FABULOUS day…   Blessings & much love….D
Live YOUR life like it’s your LAST 24!!
