One Day at a Time

Good Morning my friends,
Trust Jesus one day at a time with it renewing each day.  This keeps you close to Him, responsive to His Will.  Trust is not a natural response, especially for those who have been deeply wounded.  His Spirit within you is your resident Tutor, helping you in this supernatural endeavor.  Yield to His gentle touch; be sensitive to His prompting.  Exert your will to trust Him in all circumstances.  Don’t let your need to understand all things distract your focus from Jesus’ Presence.  He will equip you to get through this day victoriously, as you live in deep dependence on Him.  Tomorrow is busy worrying about itself; don’t get tangled up in its worry webs.  Just trust Him one day at a time..

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (Matthew 6:34)

Trust is difficult…  It’s even more difficult after it has be broken.   How many times could Jesus give up on us after we broke His trust?  Everyday huh!!  How do you match up to Jesus when it comes to trust?  Do you trust?  Do you trust with ALL your heart? Do you trust God with everything?
For many years I claimed to trust Jesus with everything but I never trusted Him with my finances.  In September 2012, Keri & I decided to be obedient to God’s Word and started trusting Him with our finances.  We started writing our tithe check first instead of giving Him what’s leftover.   There’s truly not a better feeling than putting that tithe check in that offering plate each week by being obedient in our walk and giving the first fruits of our labor. Trusting God completely and not just giving Him lip service.  Since this past September, when we both became unemployed and our income was cut by about 65% we have remained obedient with every dollar that has come into our home whether it be severance pay, supplemental insurance, unemployment compensation, money from 401k or blessings from family or friends.
Four years ago, I broke Keri’s trust.  Does she trust me now?  She does for the majority of the time but there are still times when Satan sticks his ugly lying head in her thoughts and places doubt in her mind.   If he can create the least bit of doubt in your mind then he can celebrate.   Doubt is one of Satan’s favorite victories.  I know that my actions & time will eventually heal all of those doubts, but and it’s up to me to continue to be obedient and dependent upon Jesus and to serve Him faithfully so that her trust for me can be fully restored through His righteousness.
Procrastination is another one of Satan’s victories.  He loves telling people that they have plenty of time to live the “boring” Christian life.  When someone allows Satan to talk them into putting off their salvation until tomorrow, he’s able to claim victory and celebrate.

“Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.” (Psalm 84:12)

My CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU….   Don’t allow Satan to have his victories in your life…
I hope you all have a TREMENDOUS day…   Blessings & much love….D
Live YOUR life like it’s your LAST 24!!
