Endure It

Good Morning my friends,

How many times have you looked at the mountain you’re facing only to say, “it’s too big, I give up”? I’ve seen people that have been diagnosed with cancer and they immediately gave up and started making their funeral arrangements. I’ve seen married couples quit when they faced just a little adversity and they immediately gave up and filed for a divorce…

Why do we just give up??
We do it with a lot of things….marriage…..business/careers… friendships ….church…goals & dreams…

My friends, God has promised you that you can endure it.. Heck you might not even have to climb the mountain. He might provide you a Jeep to go over it or a tunnel that goes through it. You just have to be willing to endure it just long enough to reach the Jeep or tunnel. Don’t give up with the first sign of adversity. It only takes a small amount of faith…

Jesus said, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.” (Luke 17:6)

Jesus wants you to follow Him one step at a time. That’s all He requires. When you see huge mountains looming, and you start wondering how you’re going to scale those heights don’t fret He is with you. Continue looking forward and watching where you’re going because you could stumble upon the easy path where Jesus is leading you. Don’t worry about the cliffs you could face tomorrow or the next day since you don’t know what will even happen today, much less tomorrow. Your path may take an abrupt turn, leading you away from those mountains. There may be an easier way up the mountains than is not visible where you are.. If Jesus leads you up the cliffs, He will equip you thoroughly for the strenuous climb. He will even give His angels charge over you, to preserve you in all your ways. Keep your mind on the present journey, enjoying His Presence.

“For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.”(Psalm 91:11-12)

My CHALLENGE prayer for YOU!! Walk by faith, not by sight, trusting Jesus to open up the way before you.

I pray that YOU have a GREAT day. Blessings & much love…. D

MISTAKES

It’s Friday but SUNDAY’S COMING!!!

Good Morning my friends,

We all make mistakes.. BIG ONES, small ones & in between ones.. Mistakes usually are made when you succumb to temptation. You might say to yourself, “I’m strong enough to handle this” or “it’s nothing…just innocent fun.” I can only speak for myself but every time I have made mistakes in my life they all seem to have one thing in common.. They are followed with REGRET.. Regret making the decision to walk down that path. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve laid awake at night wishing a mistake would just go away. I would get up the next morning and walk down that same path and there it was again. If you want your life to change bad enough you have got to make that decision on your own. No one can do it for you. Your wife can’t.. Your kids can’t… Your girlfriend can’t.. Your mom & dad can’t. It rest squarely on your shoulders.. You have got to make a clean break. A clean break starts with repentance. Repentance means owning up to your mistakes, drawing a line in the sand, then turning around and go in the opposite direction that you were going before.

I’ve shared many times over the last 3 years or so about when I made the decision to change my life change. I always knew the type of husband and father that I wanted to be for my family. I always knew the life I wanted to live, however I was caught up with trying to live up to a reputation of being the “fun party guy.” I tried to straddle the fence by living in the flesh and then appear to be that good Christian guy as well. You can take a pig out of the slop, clean it up real good, make it sparkle and shine and put a bow around its head. You can call it whatever you wish. BUT it’s still a pig… I was nothing more than a sparkling pig that was headed for hell.. There’s something about hitting rock bottom. When you hit bottom you have no other place to turn but to God.. I tried everything else of the world and all it did was put me where I ended up..

David made a huge mistake with Bathsheba. David hit rock bottom and turned to God.. He asked to be cleansed from his sins and his guilty feelings.. He owns up to the mess he created and his disobedience.. When I read David’s words.. I knew exactly what he was feeling… I could feel his words in my heart.. I prayed the same prayer.. I wanted and needed to be cleansed from my sinful past.. I could stand it no longer. I drew a line in the sand.. I turned from it and said I will not continue down that same path and I ran in the opposite direction.

“Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy loving kindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.” (Psalms 51:1-12)

My CHALLENGE prayer for YOU!! Draw your line in the sand, repent and turn and never go back..

I pray that YOU have a FANTASTIC day. Blessings & much love…. D

I Am With You Always

Good Morning my friends

Jesus said, “I am with you always.” Those were the last words He spoke before ascending to Heaven. It was a promise to all who will listen. A lot Christians accept this teachings as truth but most ignore it in their daily lives. Some believers fear and may even resent His awareness of all they do, say, and think. When His Presence is the focal point of your consciousness, all the pieces of your life fall into place. As you gaze at Him through the eyes of your heart, you’re able to see the world around you from His perspective. The fact that Jesus is with you makes every moment of your life more meaningful. Once people realize this and center their lives around this glorious promise they will find themselves blessed beyond all expectations.

I know from firsthand experience that people can talk ALL they want but when it comes to walking the walk it’s different. When you’re truly walking with God you approach life a lot different.. You approach each day different.. You no longer want to do things that are dishonoring to God and His Word, to your spouse & kids.

It is not honoring to God or your family to look at 1/2 naked men or women on the internet, tv, in a book or magazine? Would you do that if Jesus was sitting next you?

It is not honoring to God or your family to gawk at a woman or man that’s walking down the sidewalk? Would you do that if Jesus was in the car with you?

It is not honoring to God & your family to watch the trash that’s on tv?

If you knew Jesus was returning tomorrow would you drive WOUKD you make it a point to be in church no matter what? How far would you be willing to drive to get church tonight?

When you’re walking with God you no longer make excuses. You no longer treat people like that have no self worth to you. I was an expert at living the double life. One in which I proclaimed to be a follower of Christ but yet as soon as I walked out the church doors it was back to living in the flesh and dishonoring to God & my family. I posted Scripture & talked about God but yet I didn’t follow it. I told people that I was praying for them but yet I never really thought to actually stop & do it. I made excuses why I didn’t go to church. I used my “so called” salvation as fire insurance.

I tried to live my whole adult to life with one foot in the world and one foot with Christ and it doesn’t work. Jesus says in Matthew 6:24, “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other.” In John 12:26 Jesus says that, “Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.” The GREATEST decision I ever made was the day I decided that I would no longer serve the world and live in the flesh.. He is always with you!!

“You have searched me, Lord , and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord , know it completely”(Psalm 139:1-4)

My CHALLENGE prayer for YOU!! Center your life around the glorious promise.

I pray that YOU have a TREMENDOUS day. Blessings & much love…. D

If Only

Good Morning my friends

Have you ever thought about what your life would be life “IF ONLY” you would’ve become dependent upon God as a teenager? Where would you be now? How would have my life been different? When I look back on my crazy life, I can’t help but think that I would be in a much different place.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s no way I would trade where I am in my life today for anything.. I would just like to know where me, Keri & my boys would be if I would’ve done things differently. I’m not saying I’ve had it such a bad life because trust me I know there are people that have had a much tougher life than myself. In fact, I know people that would’ve loved to have had my life thus far.

My ups & downs in life have been self inflicted. It was the result of my poor choices that has damaged the trust of my family. It was me doing what I wanted to do that made me happy that made my family feel at times they weren’t the most important thing in my life.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

IF ONLY my choice would’ve been to follow God’s Word instead of choosing fall in to temptation. IF ONLY my choice would’ve been to spend time with my family talking & reassuring that they were the important to me instead of bringing my work home. IF ONLY I would’ve surrendered to the ministry 20 years ago and started serving God then instead of running away hiding from Him like Jonah. IF ONLY….IF ONLY…IF ONLY…

My life would’ve been certainly different but on the other-hand I believe that God knew what was going to take place and now He has me in the right place at the right time. He knew who would be in my life at this time and what they would need to hear. My path would’ve have been much different but my testimony would be different as well. I wouldn’t be able to share and be transparent with my ups & downs, temptations, thoughts & feelings, & blessings.

Jesus said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God ; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?” (John 14:1-2)

My CHALLENGE prayer for YOU!! Trust God with His perfect plan for your life..

I pray that YOU have a TERRIFIC day. Blessings & much love…. D

Problem Free Life

Good Morning my friends,

People should give up on the Illusion that some day they will have or even deserve a problem free life. Your hunger for such a life is false hope. Jesus told His disciples, “in this world you will have troubles”. That means that you can take it to the bank. You’re going to have problems. Don’t link your hope for a problem free life but instead on the promise of a problem free eternity in Heaven. Instead of seeking perfection in this fallen world, pour your energy into seeking Jesus, the Perfect One.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

It’s possible to enjoy Jesus and glorify Him while you’re in the midst of adverse circumstances. His Light shines most brightly through believers who trust Him in the dark. That kind of trust is supernatural. It’s a sample of His indwelling Spirit within you. When things seem all wrong, trust Him anyway. He is much less interested in right circumstances than in right responses to whatever comes your way.

“Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in Lord.” (Psalm 112:4,7)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU…. Claim VICTORY over your circumstance..

I pray that YOU have a MAGNIFICENT day. Blessings & much love…. D

Overcoming Tribulations

It’s Friday but SUNDAY’s COMING!!

Good Morning my friends,

When trials come, we sometimes act as if God is on vacation. We question Him.. Why is this happening to me? What did I do to deserve this? Why am I going through such difficulties? What’s wrong with You, God?

But such complaining is shortsighted and wrong. God is far higher than we are, so who are we to say He is wrong or tell Him what He ought to be doing? As God reminded Job, “Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? (Job 38:4) Such complaining shows a lack of trust: It shows that we are doubting God’s wisdom and His love for us.

Read the promises of Scripture for the answer. Jesus said, “In the world you will have tribulations.” He didn’t say that you could have tribulation or that if you aren’t a good person, tribulation will come your way. Jesus flatly stated you will have tribulation. It is as certain as growing older..

But the wonderful promise of Christ is that while you will have trials and tribulations,

Jesus said, ““I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (‭John‬ ‭16‬:‭33‬)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU!!! Trust God in your trials He will bring you peace..

I pray that YOU have a FANTASTIC day. Blessings & much love…. D

Look to God

Good Morning my friends,

If you’ve ever flown in an airplane, you know that your perspective of the ground is much different from what it is when your on the ground. Even pictures of Earth that have been taken from space show an Earth that looks much different than we see on a daily basis.

This perspective is the kind that God wants to hive us concerning our lives.. When we look to God instead of to ourselves and our circumstances, our perspective changes.

Don’t be bogged down in the circumstances of life. At the moment we might only see our immediate problems and burdens, but God sees the whole picture. He sees not only the present but the future as well. He wants to lift us above ourselves. He wants us to see everything in light of His plans. The psalmist said, “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me” (Psalms 138:8).

Keep your eyes on God. He sees the whole picture and knows what is best for you.

Jesus said, “When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (‭Luke‬ ‭21‬:‭28‬)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU!!! Trust God, He loves you..

I pray that YOU have a TERRIFIC day. Blessings & much love…. D
