Looking Back

Good Morning my friend,

What are your thoughts as you look back over the past year? Was it a year of heartache and loss, tragedy and sorrow or setbacks? Or happiness and joy, success and achievement? Or something in between? Do you close the book on this year with regret or with relief?

No matter your answer, I hope you will pause and prayerfully ask yourself two important questions. First, how do you think God looks on this past year in your life? Did it bring you closer to Him? Did it expose any weaknesses or find you wandering from His way? Would He be disappointed in your responses to your challenges?

Second, what lessons will you take from this year into the next? What did God teach you? What did He try to teach you? What needs to change and how will it happen?

Don’t be bound by the past and its failures, but don’t forget its lessons either. Like Paul, forget the past and press on in obedience to Christ.

“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” (‭Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭13-14‬)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU!!! Forget the past and press on obediently..

I pray that YOU have a WONDERFUL day. Blessings & much love…. D

Perfect Peace

Good Morning my friends,

Noted Christian author & Pastor Dr. Vance Havner said, “worrying is like sitting in a rocking chair. It will give you something to do but it won’t get you anywhere.” Worry and anxiety have hounded the human race since the beginning of time, and modern man with all his innovations has not found the cure for the plague of worry.

What is the answer? Imagine in your mind a ferocious ocean storm beating against a rocky shore. The lightning flashes, the thunder roars, the waves lash the rocks. But then imagine that you see a crevice in the rocky cliff.. Inside the crevice is a little bird with it’s head tucked under it’s wing that is fast asleep. It knows the rock will protect it so it sleeps on peace.

God promised Moses, “I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with My hand” (Exodus 33:22). That is God’s promise to us. Christ is our Rock, and we are secure in His hands forever. The storms can rage but our hearts should be at rest.

Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭27‬)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU!!! Stop worrying and let God’s hand protect you..

I pray that YOU have a TREMENDOUS day. Blessings & much love…. D

Hope for the Future

Good Morning my friends,

Sometimes life can take you to the point where you don’t see much hope. You might feel that way today or perhaps just feel like you’re well on your way. Whatever the reason, whatever the situation, let me assure you that God cares and because of Him it can be different.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (‭Romans‬ ‭15‬:‭13‬)

Committing your life to Christ or renewing your commitment to Him doesn’t mean all your problems will suddenly vanish. Your past can’t be undone. Your unwise decisions can’t be redone, in fact often you will have to live with the consequences from your unwise choices. However it’s better to face the future with God than without Him. God loves you, and even when your life appears dark and uncertain, His truth will provide you with enough encouragement and give you all of the strength that you need. Jesus knows what you’re going through. Commit your problems and your future into His hands and ask Him to guide you through your day.

“Jesus is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them.” (‭Hebrews‬ ‭7‬:‭25‬)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU!!! Let Christ be enough for you..

I pray that YOU have a MAGNIFICENT day. Blessings & much love…. D

TRULY TRUSTING

Good Morning my friends,

When Zakk was little, someone gave him a dollar. He brought it to me and said, “Daddy, keep this for me.” But in a few minutes he came back and said, “Daddy, I’d better keep my own dollar,” so he tucked it away in his pocket and went out to play. In a few minutes he came back with tears in his eyes, saying, “daddy, I lost my dollar. Please come help me find it.”

How often do we commit our burdens to The Lord and then fail to trust Him by taking matters into our own hands then, when we fail or we mess things up, we pray, “oh Lord, help me! I’m in trouble.”

The choice is yours. Do you want to trust your life in God’s “pocket” or keep it in your own? The Bible’s promise is true…

“Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods.” (‭Psalm‬ ‭40‬:‭4‬)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU!!! Put your trust in God and let Him put your burdens in His pocket..

I pray that YOU have a SUPER BLESSED day. Blessings & much love…. D

Suffering Servant

Good Morning my friends,

Jesus’ life began in the midst of persecution and peril. He came on a mission of love and mercy, sent by the Father. An angel announced His conception and gave Him His name. The Heavenly hist sang a glorious anthem at Hoist birth. By the extraordinary star, the very Heavens indicated His coming. He was the most illustrious child ever born-the holy child of Mary, the divine Son of God.

Yet no sooner did He enter our world than Herod decreed His death and labored to accomplish it. Warned by God in a dream, Joseph fled Bethlehem at night, taking Mary and baby Jesus to Egypt until Herod’s death finally made it safe to return.

The only Son of the eternal Father, Jesus entered time and was made in the likeness of man. He assumed our human nature with all it’s infirmities, weakness and capacity for suffering. He came as a child of the poorest parents. His entire life was one long pathway of humiliation.

But now Jesus resigns in Heaven, no longer limited by time and space. Someday He will come again in His glory and He will take us with Him.

“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” (‭Isaiah‬ ‭53‬:‭5‬)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU!!! All Jesus to reign in your life..

I pray that YOU have a TREMENDOUSLY BLESSED day. Blessings & much love…. D

That First Christmas

Good Morning & Merry Christmas my friends,

It would’ve been logical to expect God to tear open the Heavens and descend to Earth in majesty and power to celebrate the birth of His Son on that first Christmas night-but He didn’t..

Instead on that quiet night in Bethlehem, a virgin mother lay her newborn baby in a manger designed to feed cattle. The lowing cows, the sweet-smelling hay, and a dark sky illuminated by a magnificent star provided the setting. Humble shepherds joined the to witness the miracle and praise God. The most significant drama of the centuries was unfolding and through it salvation would ultimately take this child to the cross.

Truly God works in mysterious ways. The wheels of His mercy and justice move quietly, but they do move. The birth of Jesus Christ-the Son of God, our Savior-went unnoticed by the vast majority of the world that first Christmas night, but no event in human history was more significant.

“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU!!! May His birth and all it means not go unnoticed in your life today.

I pray that YOU have a TREMENDOUSLY BLESSED day. Blessings & much love…. D

No Vacancy

Good Morning my friends,

Before you denounce the unaccommodating citizens of Bethlehem, you should admit that there are still many people that refuse to make vroom for Him in their lives today. Millions remember Jesus’ birthday and speak His name in holiday greetings, yet they consistently close their hearts to Him, saying in effect, “There is no room in my soul for Christ.”

We hear great cries for tolerance but yet we accept the bigotry towards followers of Jesus. There is no room for His Word in our culture: our children are without reverence for God or faith in the Bible. There is no room for our Lord’s creed of purity and self-denial: the media sends forth a constant barrage of profanity, indecency, and materialism. There is no room for the promise of His cross and His blood: the angel’s statement that, “He will save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21) is rejected by those who deny that the Child in the manger is our Emmanuel, “God with us.”

“Mary gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.”” (‭Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭7‬)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU!!! Make more room for Jesus in your heart and life..

I pray that YOU have a WONDERFUL day. Blessings & much love…. D
