Work of a Believer

Good Morning my friends,

Is your work done after you accept Christ as your Savior? Many believers feel that way. They feel that once they’ve accepted Christ that all their work is complete. I’ve seen many “friends” find God and never open their Bible, attend a church service, or church function. Instead every Sunday & Wednesday they’re at home with an excuse as to why they couldn’t make it. Choosing to live life as a Christian is a never-ending work in progress. It’s something that you build upon through prayer, studying of The Word, and service to God. It’s like learning to ride a bike. There’s more to riding a bike than just being able to stay upright. I often watch the X Games and the BMX riders. Those guys are amazing and in my book a bit crazy but they didn’t get that good overnight. They chose to craft their skill and to become the best they can be. Your daily Christian walk should be no different. Your skills should be honed and tweaked for you to become the best at sharing your testimony and telling the world what Jesus has done in your life.
It’s no different than you telling people about an awesome movie, restaurant, book, or new shoes. You’re just sharing your experience. You’re not changing careers. Sharing your experience doesn’t make you a movie critic or food critic any more than sharing your testimony makes you a preacher or evangelist. We’re not all called to be evangelist or preachers. Some are called to just be disciples. Disciples are the worker bees. The little ants that are always busy serving. The worker ants are able to achieve great feats because they’re just willing to serve.

“So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”(John 8:31-32)

What’s an evangelist? It’s a person with a special gift and a special calling from the Holy Spirit to announce the good news of the gospel. It’s a gift from God that cannot be faked or manufactured. It’s also a calling from God, and understanding that will help protect you from two dangerous temptations.
First, it will protect you from pride because we all know that whatever gift we have and whatever opportunities may open up to us are from God. We can’t take any credit or glory for ourselves. Second, it saves us from discouragement and the temptation to give up, because we know our calling is not from man but from God.
Some are called to be evangelist-but every Christian is called to do the work of evangelism, which is merely sharing your testimony or even more simple being a worker ant. Every Christian is called to tell others about Christ and what He has done for them.. Don’t be shy…

“Yet when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, since I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!” (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭16‬)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU…. Strive be a worker ant today.

I pray that you have a WONDERFUL day… Blessings and much love….D

Live YOUR life like it’s YOUR LAST 24!!!!
