Walking on Holy Ground

Good Morning my friends,

After 22 years, today is my official last day with Greenleaf. It’s been a long fruitful ride but it’s time to put the flowers away and follow my goals & dreams.. It’s a bitter yet sweet ending. Bitter in the fact that my integrity and character was questioned which I have forgiven, yet sweet because it forces me to trust God and take a huge leap of faith. It’s time to take up my cross and follow Jesus..

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)

It would be so easy for me to get caught up in the bitterness and negative feelings that shave surrounded my departure but instead I wish my Greenleaf family well and hope that their new direction is the thing that puts them back on the radar. I pray that all my floral industry colleagues & friends prosper. I feel like this is was all part of God’s perfect timing for my life. There has never been a time in the history of our great country where we have been this far from God. I’m an average blue collar Joe that has experienced life to it fullest and have done a lot of shameful things but have all been washed clean by the blood of my Savior Jesus Christ. I have an amazing testimony and platform on which to carry my cross to. I strive to be a ray of light in this dark world.. I hope to be a beacon of hope for the lost so that they to can find the peace that I found. I aspire to be a role model for both the lost and the changed so that they too can take up their cross, take a leap of faith and follow Jesus as well.

“Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” (Exodus 3:5)

I pray that they learn what it means to get ahold of the everlasting King. That they can experience their richest duty which is devotion to God. It’s a duty with such joyous privilege that it feels luxurious. I pray that once they make that decision that they never feel guilty about pushing back the boundaries of their life to make space to spend time with God. I pray that each of you reject the world because all it does is squeeze you into it’s mold and crowd out fellowship with God. I pray that the ways of the world don’t warped your conscience or punish you for trying to do things that are pleasing to God. Seek God’s Face. Listen to Him above all other things and don’t clamor in the things that tend to distract you. Ask the Holy Spirit to control your mind because He and God work in perfect harmony. Be still and attentive in God’s Presence because you will be walking on holy ground.

“The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.”(Romans 8:15-16)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU…. Be still and attentive in His Presence and seek His guidance and grace..

I hope you have a TERRIFIC day… Blessing & much love…D

Live your life like it’s your LAST 24!!!

Swing for the Fence

Good Morning my friends,

Draw near to God with a thankful heart. Be aware that He fills your cup with an overflow of blessings. Being grateful will enable you to perceive God more clearly and to rejoice in your relationship of love. Nothing can ever separate you from His Loving Presence and that is your security. If you begin to feel anxious, remind yourself that your security rests in God alone, and He is trustworthy. You will never be in control of the circumstances in your life, but you can relax and trust that God is in control. Instead of striving for a predictable, safe lifestyle, seek to know Him in greater depth. He longs to make your life a glorious adventure, but you must stop clinging to your old ways and seek Him with expansion. He is always doing something new with His beloved. Lookout for all that He has prepared for you.

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” (Psalm 56:3-4)

This morning I find myself perplexed. Perhaps it’s because I got only 3 hours of sleep last night but I doubt it considering I’m use to not getting much sleep. I feel like I’m in-between a state of indecision and I can’t believe this is about to happen. Most of you know that two years ago I formed a mobile app company called AppYea Inc. I’ve always have been a very BIG thinker with HIGH expectations but it looks like AppYea is on the verge of exploding and being something very HUGE. In fact, I think it might even be bigger than what I could’ve ever imagined. I find myself at a crossroad because we’ve gotten this far, so fast by playing small ball. We haven’t worried about the home runs but instead we put our runners into scoring position where we can achieve success by being aggressive and doing the small things great.

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” (Isaiah 43:19)

AppYea’s bases are loaded and my slugger is on deck.. I’m grateful that my Lord has put me in this position. I can’t believe something this big is happening to me and the other players that helped us get to this point. I don’t deserve it but I’m very thankful for it. I’ve prayed continually for guidance and the expansion of my boundaries and will continue to do so because I seek not only God’s counsel & grace but His Will as well.. I want His insight, and favor.. I’ve been following His lead since stepping out and starting this two company years ago. Lately it seems like His message has been overwhelmingly that it’s time to swing for the fence and don’t look back.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER FOR YOU.. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and receive what He has prepared for you..

I hope you have a MARVELOUS day… Blessing & much love…D

Live your life like it’s your LAST 24!!!

Spirit & Truth

Good GLORIOUS Morning my friends,

You gotta love a day when you can wake up and your sole duty for the day is to go worship your living God. Muslim’s can’t say those words because Allah is dead.. Buddhist can’t say that because Buddha is dead.. Oh what a grandiose day!!! I love Sunday’s.. I get to go worship with like minded people.. I get to hear GREAT PREACHING straight from God’s Word. I get to hear beautiful praise & worship music, hymns, or southern gospel. It doesn’t matter what they play. It’s not about the type of music, it’s about bringing praise, honor & glory to God.. It’s not about my preference or yours.. If you’re in the right frame of mind you should be able to do it with any type of music or song..

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” (Psalm 100:4)

I think this is where many Churches & Christians go wrong.. They make worshipping God about themselves and their preference and what they want instead of what it’s really about..
When you worship God in spirit and truth, you join in with choirs of angels who are continually doing so before His throne. Although you cannot hear their voices, your praise and thanksgiving are distinctly audible in heaven. Your petitions are also heard, but it is your gratitude that clears the way to God’s Heart. Once your pathway between you & God are clear His blessings will flow upon you in rich abundance. Your greatest blessing is your nearness to God. The abundant Joy and Peace in His Presence. Practice praising and thanking God continually throughout this day.

Jesus said, “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” (John 4:23-24)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER FOR YOU.. Worship in spirit and truth..

I hope you have a GREAT day… Blessing & much love…D

Love Not Judge

Good Morning my friends,

“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.” (Luke 6:37)

I think one of the biggest mistakes a Christian can make is to believe that they are righteous. No matter how many times you succeed in moments of righteousness, you will have multiple more times of failure. Being judgmental or passing judgement is easy. It’s easy because finding when we find someone that is sinning more than ourselves then we think it puts us on higher level. It’s allows us to believe that we have it more together. That we are able to ridicule others about their short-comings. The moment that we elevate ourselves to this level is the moment we have failed miserably.. Jesus told us in Matthew 22:39 that the second greatest commandment is “thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” I might be wrong but I think if everyone lived according to this verse then there would be a whole lot less judgment going on in this country. This doesn’t necessarily mean that you can’t point out to a fellow Christian that they’re sinning when you see it, but instead it means that you do it in a loving way. You do it with a lot of prayer and supplication. You do it with careful thought, guidance from God and by wrapping your arms around them with love and saying your actions are not honoring your Savior. You don’t do it in anger or by turning your back on them.

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”(Romans 8:1)

I wish I could say that I succeed in this area. Unfortunately I can’t. I only have moments of success.. My biggest failures don’t come by judging people vocally but instead with my mind.. My thoughts seem to believe that they have achieved righteousness. I thank God that my heart knows different. I thank God that the Holy Spirit nudges me and says “hey, slow your roll.” Billy Graham say’s, “It is the Holy Spirit’s job to convict, God’s job to judge and my job to love.” I think I will leave judgement to God and just love…

“He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.”(Titus 3:5)

God’s children make a pastime of judging not only one another but themselves as well. God is the only capable Judge and He has already acquitted you of all your failures through the blood of His Son Jesus Christ. Your & my acquittal came at the expense of His unparalleled sacrifice, that’s why He gets highly offended when He hears His children judge one another or indulge themselves in self hatred. When you live close to God and absorb His Word, the Holy Spirit will guide and or react to you as needed. There is no condemnation for those who belong to God..

“Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”(2 Timothy 4:8)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER FOR YOU.. Leave the judgment to God and love..

I hope you have a SUPER day… Blessing & much love…D

Charge Forward

Good Morning my friends,

I’m overwhelmed by God’s Grace & Love. The other day I was talking to a friend and we were discussing many things and one of the things we talked about of course was my cancer. I told him that although I don’t understand it and sometimes question it, I have accepted it.. We both agreed that although God doesn’t make bad things happen in your life like having cancer, He allows it to happen so that those people can be a witness to Him with their response. It would be easy for me to throw my hands in the air and quit on life and God. This is the third time. Most would say that once is enough.. Two times is even more than enough.. But three times now that’s going a little overboard.. I’ve been told by some that I’m a modern day Job. I’m not so sure about that.. There might be some similarities but that’s all they are. I think if you examine your own life and are familiar with the Bible there will be similarities in all our lives. The Bible is not just a book of stories . It is an instructional book of how one should live their life. It provides you with all your questions to life. It shows you how to react to the trials in life and how not to respond in temptations in life. It tells you how to live a blessed fruitful life. I’m nothing special.. I’ve FINALLY learned the key to life and I just want to share it..

“The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemies before you, saying, ‘Destroy them!” (Deuteronomy 33:27)

My life has been like a roller coaster ride but since November 13th 2011 it has been nothing but a pure blessing. I’ve never been closer to my beautiful wife. My boys are embracing life and have accepted all of their challenges head-on. My family has never been closer to God.. Satan uses trails & tragedies to separate people & families from God. He uses trials & tragedies to place doubt in minds. God doesn’t make bad things happen.. Satan is the creator of evil & sin.. I’ve learned to pray continually for God’s protection & guidance as I charge forward without looking back. Stay focused on the cross and you can’t go wrong. It can be best summed up by the words of Andy Andrews in his book The Travelers Gift when he wrote, “Incidentally, an interesting benefit of a person’s decision to charge, one that has been somewhat overlooked by scholars and historians, is the presence of a hedge of thorns. Mentioned first in the Bible, a hedge of thorns is the divine protection placed upon a person who is destined to make a difference. Until you have accomplished what you were put here to do, you will not—you cannot— be harmed”. I believe God has placed a hedge of thorns around me and I feel I have yet to accomplished the GREATNESS that God put me here to do. I urge you to look around, examine your life, get on your knees, pray, & charge forward.

“But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

Let God show you His way for today. He’ll guide you continually, so that you can relax and enjoy His Presence in the present. Living well is both a discipline and an art, concentrate on staying close to the divine Artist. Discipline your thoughts to trust God as He works His Ways in your life. Pray about everything; then, leave the outcome up to Him. Do not fear His Will because through it He will accomplish what’s best or you. Take a deep breath and dive into the depths of absolute trust in God, underneath are His everlasting arms!!

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.” (Psalm 91:1-3)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU.. Discipline your thoughts, pray, trust God & charge…

I hope you have a FANTASTIC day… Blessing & much love…D

The Buck Stops Here

Good Morning my friends,

Everyday we are faced with decisions. The decisions to say nothing or do nothing. The decision to continue down the same path or the decision to change. The decision to continue to cave to your fleshly desires and your worldly ways. The decision to not separate yourself for the evil things that you allow in your life. Some day, life will force you to make the decision to say, “THAT’S IT!!!” or “I’VE HAD ENOUGH!! The decision to say that I will no longer sit idle.. The decision to separate yourself from your fleshly desires and your worldly ways.. The decision to say, “THE BUCK STOPS HERE!!”

“Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders.” (Deuteronomy 33:12)

On November 13, 2011, I made that decision.. I drew my line in the sand and said, “NO LONGER..” I will no longer cave to the world. I will no longer live in the flesh.. I will no longer do the popular thing.. I will no longer seek shameless attention and try to be appealing to the masses.. I decided from that day forward that I would live everyday for God. To follow & bring honor to Him in my life and let everything else fall into place.. Since then without a doubt in mind, I can say that this has been the greatest three years of my life. This despite the many obstacles that I’ve faced. I learned that life is not about “things”. It’s not about personal accomplishments. It’s about bringing honor & glory to God. It’s about getting up after you’ve been knocked down. It’s about keeping your eyes focused on the cross. If you do those things then God will bless you with an abundant life. It might not be a life of fortune and fame but you must remember those things are of the world. Your abundance will be treasures that will be laid up in heaven.

“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”(Psalm 37:4)

God is Life and Light in abundance. As you spend time “soaking” in God’s Presence, you will be energized and lightened. When you go to God in prayer, you transfer your heavy burdens to His strong shoulders. By gazing at God, you gain His perspective on your life. The time alone with God is essential for unscrambling your thoughts and smoothing out the day before you. Be willing to fight for your precious time with Him. Opposition comes in many forms: your own desire to linger in bed; the evil one’s determination to distract you from Him; the pressure of family, friends, and your own inner critic to spend your time more productively. As you grow in your desire to please God above all else, you gain strength to resist these opponents. Delight yourself in God, for He is the deepest Desire in your heart.

“Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love.” (Psalm 48:9)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU… Take a stand for God…

I hope you have a TREMENDOUS day… Blessing & much love…D

Live YOUR life like it’s your LAST 24!!!

What If ??

Good Morning my friends,

As I wake up this GLORIOUS Wednesday morning headed to MD Andersen, I remember that no matter how frustrated I get in this world that we live in, I can rest assure that some day I will spend eternity in Heaven with my Lord Savior. No matter what I face today or any other day will never be too much for God. When I look back on my days of my walking in the flesh and being controlled by all those sinful desires and ways, I can’t help but ask myself,
WHAT IF, I would’ve died during that time?
WHAT IF, Jesus would’ve returned?
WHAT IF, I would’ve never come to my senses?

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32)

Finding Jesus, allowed me to break free from the shackles of sin. Knowing Him allows my mind to no longer be controlled by the flesh but instead by the Holy Spirit. I have become free in Him… I’m free to go to God several times a day seeking strength, refuge & forgiveness for my failures. God has transformed my life. He has changed my thoughts, my actions & my ways. He has blessed me with a vision, that has me focused on bringing Him Glory & Honor. I have found my security in the One that died to set me free.
What about you?
Do you know Him?
Have you submitted?

Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

My friends, God is the truth; the One who came to set you free. Allow the Holy Spirit to control your mind and actions more fully so that you can become more freely in Him.. The Holy Spirit releases more from the inside so that you can become the one God created you to be. This is the work that God does in you as you yield to His Spirit. God does His best handy work when you sit in the stillness of His Presence, focusing your entire being on Him. Let God’s thoughts burst freely in your consciousness so that you can stimulate an abundant Life. God is the Way, the Truth and the Life. As you follow God, He will lead you along paths of newness; in ways that you have never imagined. Don’t worry about what is on the road map up ahead but instead find your security in knowing Jesus, the One who died to set you free.

“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” (Philippians 2:13)

MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU.. Find your security in the One whom died to set you free..

I hope you have a WONDERFUL day… Blessing & much love…D
