Sending Flowers is not a a Bad Thing

Good Morning my friends,

Every year we try to go visit our customers so we can see what we are doing right, what we are doing wrong and how we can improve.. I was talking to a customer whom I’ve known for 20+ years about how business has changed.. When I first started selling flowers in 88, there were 17 florist in Wichita Falls.. Now there are 4… They local florist is a dying breed.. Most people just don’t feel there’s a need to send flowers from a local florist any longer.. Whether it’s for a birthday, anniversary, get well soon or a simple thinking.. I remember when people use to send flowers to funeral and now all I see in the obits is “in lieu of flowers”.. People just no longer find it a necessity.

“Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:” (Psalm 50:14)

What made people change? When did it become a bad thing to send flowers? If people do decide to buy flowers they go and buy a cheap bouquet from Walmart that’s probably on it’s last leg.. I find it sad that people no longer send small flower bouquets for birthdays, that men no longer send their wives a small bouquet just because and when a loved ones passes away the funeral planner decide “in lieu of flowers”. Flowers make people smile.. Flowers help aide in the grieving process. One of the best ways to show sympathy and compassion as well as respect is by sending flowers.. There’s nothing more comforting for a grieving family to see than a room full of flowers. Flowers show a sign of love.

“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” (2 Corinthians 3:17)

Life & people are so different than they were 20-25 years ago. Our society has become self absorbed. Our society believes that we are responsible for everything good that happens in our lives but someone else is responsible for the bad. We have become an ungrateful detached society that refuses to take responsibility..
Thanking God for the glorious gift of His spirit is like priming the pump of a well. As you bring God the sacrifice of thanksgiving, regardless of your feelings, His Spirit is able to work more freely within you. It will produce more thankfulness and more freedom, until you’re overflowing with gratitude. God showers blessings on you daily, but sometimes you can’t seem because of the clutter in your mind. When your mind is stuck on a negative thoughts, you can’t see neither God nor His gifts. In faith, thank Him for whatever is preoccupying your mind. This will clear the blockage so that you can find Him and your blessings will flow freely.

“Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 5:5)

My CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU…. Clear the blockage from your mind…

I hope you all have a TREMENDOUS day… Blessings & much love…D

Live your life like it’s your LAST 24!!
