Good Morning my friends,
The journey of life is tough so don’t be ashamed if your exhausted or get that way. Instead, view it as an opportunity for God to take charge of your life. Seek God for rest and refreshment. Remember that God can fit everything into a pattern for good, including the things in your life that you wish were different. Start with where you are now, accepting that this is where God intended for you to be. From there go through each day one step, one moment at a time. Your only responsibility is to remain attentive to God, letting Him guide you through the many choices along your pathway. This sounds like an easy assignment, but it’s not. Your desire to live in God’s Presence goes against the grain of “the world, the flesh, and the devil”. Your weariness is the result from your constant battle against them. However, you have chosen to be on a path of God’s choosing, so don’t give up! Put your hope in God and give praise to Him for the help of His Presence.
“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” (Psalm 42:11)
Last night I had the pleasure of listening to my good friend and Sunday School teacher Jimbo Cash deliver an amazing message to the WIllow Park congregation. Jimbo preached out of Romans 6. To many times as Christians we go to the alter or we pray at home to have the cobwebs of our lives swept clean. After praying this we feel giddy and clean and then we go about our lives only to succumb to our fleshly desires a month or two down the road. We go back to the alter and pray the same prayer as we did before.. God once again sweeps our cobwebs clean only for us to fail again a couple of months down the road. It a cycle. Jimbo said instead of praying to sweep the cobwebs clean perhaps we should go about it different. We should pray to get rid of the spiders that are causing the cobwebs.. Too many times in life we lay or fleshly desires down at God’s feet only to pick them back up again.. It’s up to us to kill the spiders that we bring into our lives. The fleshly desires of the world can be appealing. They are the easy way. I’m not saying that you will be able to live a perfect sin free life but what I’m saying is that if you have a problem with drugs, drinking, pornography or lusting, etc…etc you have to make a conscience effort to not allow those worldly desires to creep into your life. Lusting at a woman that is dressed provocatively on Facebook is no different than lusting after women that are totally nude in Playboy. Just because a woman is covered doesn’t make it ok. You can’t walk in the presence of God if you’re living in the world..
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
My CHALLENGE prayer for you…. Check yourself… Are you a professor or possessor of faith?
I hope you all have a TREMENDOUS day… Blessings & much love….D
Live your life like it’s your LAST 24!!
