It’s Friday but SUNDAY’S COMING
Good Morning my friends!!
As adults we often dream or think back about the days when we were just children. Back in the day… Those were the days we were all care free without any responsibilities. My mother always told me to not wish my childhood away but to enjoy it while it last because adulthood is not all that great.
“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like a little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.” (Matthew 18)
My oldest on Zakk came to us his Freshmen year and wanted to test out to see if he could graduate early and go on to college. We sat him down and explained to him that these next few years were going to be the greatest times of his life. We told him that despite being bored in school to go along with it, complete the task at hand and ENJOY LIFE his time free of responsibilities… I think as adults we tend to lose focus on what’s truly important. We get caught up in the self indulgences, the “things” in life… We make those “things” our priorities and then when our life falls in disarray we ponder what went wrong.. Your priority in life should be God and God alone. When you make God your priority EVERYTHING else will fall into place. He will bless you enough to take care of your responsibilities.. Everything else are just things…
Rest in Him, forgetting about the worries of the world. Focus on God—Emmanuel—and let His living Presence envelop you in Peace. Tune in to God’s eternal security, because He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. If you live on the surface of life by focusing on your ever changing circumstance, you will find yourself echoing the words of Solomon: “Meaningless! Meaningless! Everything is meaningless!”
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”(Hebrews 13:8)
Living in collaboration with God is the way to instill meaning into your days. Begin each day alone with Him, so that you can experience the reality of His Presence. As you spend time with God, the way before you will open up step by step. Arise from the stillness of your communion, and gradually begin your journey through the day. Hold God’s hand in deliberate dependence on Him and He will smooth out the path before you.
“In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”(Proverbs 3:6)
My CHALLENGE prayer for you. Forget about the “things” & Make God your priority..
I hope you all have a FABULOUS day… Blessings & much love….D
Live your life like its your LAST 24!!
