The Splendor of A King

Good Morning my friends,

Today as you drive to work or when you have a chance to sit quietly in God’s Presence, let Him fill your heart and mind with thankfulness… This is the most direct way to achieve a thankfulness. If your mind needs a focal point, gaze at God’s Love which He poured out on the cross for you. Remember that nothing in Heaven or on Earth can separate you from His Love. Remembering this will build a foundation of gratitude in you. A foundation that circumstances cannot shake.
As you go through your day, look for tiny treasures placed strategically along the way. It is God that lovingly goes before you each day and plants tiny little pleasures to brighten your day… Look carefully to find them, and pluck them one by one. When you reach the end of the day, you will have an amazing bouquet… Offer it up to Him with a grateful heart. Receive His Peace as you lie down to sleep, with thankful thoughts playing a lullaby in your mind.

“Fill my heart with joy when their grain and new wine abound. In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord , make me dwell in safety.” (Psalm 4:7-8)

Keri & I have learned to cherish the times when our boys choose to come and just sit with us in the living room. Times where we just watch tv together, play board games, play Play Station or Xbox or just when they come to chill and spend a little time with us.. It’s our chance to stop & smell the roses. Our chance to thank God for the beautiful times that He places in our life. We all live such busy lives that we constantly fail to stop & smell the roses.. As parents I think we can all agree that it seems just like yesterday when our kids were just babies. They grew-up right before our busy eyes.. As I think back when my boys were small I can remember the countless opportunities I had the chance to stop & smell the roses only to fail because I was “too busy” watching football or doing something else trivial.. My friends how often do you fail to stop & smell the roses? Our roses are not just our children but also our spouse, parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, friends, co-workers…etc…etc…
How many times do we fail to take in the majesty of a sunrise or the splendor of a sunset?
How about the gracefulness of the moon & stars in the darkness of night? Have you ever sit along the banks of a river and watch God paint on His beautiful canvas?
Can you remember as a kid lying in the grass during the hot days of summer looking up at the clouds and the blue sky and watching God paint pictures with the clouds..
My friends take the time to stop & smell the roses and watch God paint you a picture.. Those are the roses that make up your bouquet for the day..

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

My CHALLENGE prayer for you … Stop & smell the roses and allow God to make you a bouquet today..

I hope you all have a TREMENDOUS day… Blessings & much love….D

Live your life like it’s your LAST 24!!!
